So since I have been pregnant I think alot about what got Matt and I to this point in our lives from all the drama and fun in high school, first dates, first kisses, missions, college, jobs, and so on. We have been married almost 3 yrs, and known each other for 12 yrs. I know it seems like a line when people tell you to marry someone who makes you want to be a better person and your best friend. But I am here to tell you that it happens, hopefully some if not all of you know what I am talking about. I never married Matt thinking that we would change each other but I think that when I have taken a look back both Matt and I have changed alot and if I do say so myself, we compliment each other perfectly. When we first got married I was very uptight, liked to be in control, and OCD just to name a few. Now, not so much! I realize now that the dishes will wait til tomorrow in order to cuddle on the couch, the floor can be dirty and it wont hurt anyone in order to go on a walk, that money doesn't grow on trees but it should be used to build your relationships for date nights and weekends away. Now some of you may be thinking that all of this is common sense for you but I had to learn this and luckily I was sent the perfect eternal companion for me to help teach me this. The best part is that Matt has no idea that he has done it. So here is hoping that all you other couples write your life stories together that they are filled with love, joy, and happiness in growing together for a better tomorrow. Ultrasound numero dos!

So here is the next ultrasound. The plan was to learn what sex our little one would be but he/she is very stubborn, although I am unsure where he/she gets it....not! The dr kept poking and trying to move it but it did nothing. The baby is now 4.5 inches long and weighs in at just over an ounce. We are still measuring on our dates. This baby has long legs from what I have bben told so maybe it will get some of the Brower height. So in three weeks we will attempt again to see what our little friend is and go from there.
On another note is this weather making anyone else depressed. I really like Utah and the fact that it has four seasons or at least it used to. The last couple of years it seems that spring and fall get pretty close to cut out aside from a few days here and there. So we will grin and get through it because I'm sure the hot summer is not far behind and that means the annual Norr family trip that has been the hightlight every summer for Matt and I since we got married. I am especially excited that this year we will be going rafting and it will be Matt's first time rafting, I already know he will love it but I just can't wait. So let the time past enjoy all the moments even the snowy ones because summer will soon come and we will be wishing for cooler weather.

Boy or Girl??

That is the main question that has been asked lately at our house. We go to our appt next thurs and the doctor say s she is going to look although I think it is still really early to tell we will give it a go. But although logically I think it is to early I find myself very confused by this question. How could I not even know what my own body is growing? Such a mystery to me. Matt from the beginning has thought it is a boy but don't all dad's think or want that. I joined that bandwagon pretty early but lately I find myself thinking it's a girl who knows we will wait and see how shy our little one is. Oh if any of you pregnant people out there are looking for a book "your pregnancy week by week" is really good. I have the what to expect when your expecting and it was not much help at all but this other one is great, thanks Brit.

Surprises....guess what

Did you guess right? Matt and I are starting our own family! We are so excited and can't wait(if anyone knows us they know that patience isn't a virtue we have around this house). We are due Sept 30. Matt will be done with school mostly this semester with a couple classes in the fall so it will be really good timing although we definitely didn't think it would happen this fast. So check out the ways that we told our families. So my family was first we went to St. George to celebrate Matt and grandpa's birthday we went out for pizza and put our due date on the pizza. And then for Matt's family(most of them)for any of you who know them know that basketball is a major part of the Brower family so at Chris's last home game they announced it during warm ups. The faces are priceless. So here we are announcing to everyone else so no one else feels left out. Hopefully time will past quickly. Any bets on what it is? We are betting boy...don't ask me why. Just as long as the baby is healthy we really don't care.

Snow

So on Tuesday when it was snowing like crazy I was talking to my sister Kim she was saying how she couldn't believe that it was snowing because in St. George it was 65 and really nice. So I thought I would post this and dedicate it to her so she could see the crazy snow and what she has been missing. It snowed just under 2 feet here in one day but now the sun is out and it will probably melt, the cycle of the winter in Utah.

National HUG Day

So Yesterday was National Hug Day and although a few hours late I had to take a quick second and talk about it. So I like holidays like this for the fact that it really makes you think and in this thinking I thought of my favorite hugs and I thought I would share them with all of you.
1.My Dad, ever since I can remember he gives the best hugs. I would come home some days very down and I can't explain the calmness and security that I found in my dad's arms. My dad gives the best advice and is the most patient of anyone I know. My dad has probably along with my grandma been the most influential person in my life that has helped to learn and grow into who I am. And he learned from the best...
2.My Grandma Norr gave the best hugs because every ounce of them was full of love. She loved everyone and if she didn't she never stated it. She played a huge part in who I am today and all the I hope to become. I truely can't wait to see her again and to get another big hug full of love.
3.Well you knew Matt had to be on here right? He has become my safety and security in the place of my dad since we all have to grow up sometime. Although my dad could never be replaced Matt comes pretty close he is my number one fan and my best friend.
So I would encourage you to think about the hugs you have had in your life it can be a little emotional and thats ok it makes us stronger and allows us to grow.

Happy holidays everyone!! I have to apologize for being so slow with posts its hard to get anything done when you work five days a week and my wonderful husband is out of school but now he is back in so I should have alot more time to get stuff done. So over Christmas we were able to get everyone together in Vegas and had family pics taken, thanks mom for getting everything put together.
