Wedding Bells

Well so for the last little while there has been rumors of a wedding and now it is official!!! Kyle asked last night and of coarse she said, "YES". He will be a wonderful edition to our family. My mom, Nic's best friend and I were able to go look at dresses yesterday and she found one she loves. The pic is one very similar to the one she bought. They had to resize the dress she bought because she is so tiny! If anyone is looking for a dress wedding/prom/formal I would highly recommend Belle Bridal in Logan it will be well worth the drive and the prices are awesome.

The Basement Part 1

Well I am going to be posting pictures of our newly remodeled basement one piece at a time. We are still finishing things here and there and we are now realizing when you double your house size to 2500 feet it is alot of work. But my wonderful husband has done an amazing job and I have never seen someone work so hard when they go to school full time and also carry a full time job he is truely my hero. Well this is the family room for those of you who don't know we bought a house is South Ogden and we gutted the basement to the cement walls so it has been a job. Hope you enjoy the pics.

My Job

Well most days I would tell you I have the best job in the world. So you see I work in the newborn ICU at McKay Dee and most days I come home feeling as if I have spent most of the day as close to god as I can possibly get. I can't even describe to you what is feels like to be there when parents see there baby for the first time. Or to hear that first time a baby cries it is so special it almost makes it seem as if the world stops for a brief moment just to take it all in. I have been sent and found some stories that I really would like to share. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did but I am warning you they can be tear jerkers but also prove that miracles really do happen almost every day.

Random Thoughts

It must be that time of year when you have alot of time to reflect because of the cold and snow that forces people inside. I have had alot on my mind lately and it is starting to effect the things I need to think about so here it goes.

1. Thank you to all of the good parents or people that some what plan for the special spirits that are sent into our lives. I have a job that believe I see the worst of the worst the abused, drug addicted babies that alot of times the state wont take away because so called parents have rights. I have learned alot being a nurse and one of the many is that any one even animals can have babies but a mom is someone that is there for all of the good and bad times during the day and the middle of the night. I applaud all of you that are dedicated to your parents and give yourself more credit because if you are trying you are doing more than half of America's parents.

2. Thanks for all of you out there that are doing your part in society and not living off the government when you are capable of providing for yourself. I recieved an email the other day that gave instructions on how to live off the government whether you need to or not I was so dicussed I erased it. So keep going although the road seems long I would rather look back and see what I have accomplished rather than how many people I have scammed out of money.

3. I hate growing up and having people all go different ways I miss having my family close and that we don't get to see each other as much as we used to I wish I would have cherished those days more when they were here.

4. The whole flower thing for Valentine's Day is of all things not original. Don't get me wrong flowers are nice but if your husband was really that great and creative why does he need a specific day to send flowers they are available year round. It seems as though that gets forgotten alot.

5. On a lighter and not so depressing note. I want to thank my husband and all the husbands out there that are capable of everything. Opening doors, doing laundry, dusting, making dinner, calling just to say they love you, and last but not least treating your wives like the princess that she is and this is only to name a few. I know somee days are harder than others but it is well worth it. I love you honey thanks for you patience.

We are truely blessed.

Man of my dreams

Well today the man of my dreams turned 24. I can hardly believe how far this world has brought us and to think the first kiss to eternity happened on Oct 27, 2000. I can't believe I found the man I would spend eternity with when I was 16. We talk about what we will tell our kids about high school dating because of how well it turned out for us. I thank my heavenly father for Matt everyday but today I just want you all to know how blessed I am to have found my soul mate who else could put up with me. I love you babes I know this is the beginning of grwing old together and I look forward to every minute.

Parenting trial

So as some of you may or may not know Matt and I had the wonderful opportunity of keeping our 2 year old nephew this past week while his mom was in the hospital with the other baby. What a fun experience it has been we had so much fun and can I tell you how much I love not having to go to work it is wonderful. Someday it will be a reality but for now it was a trial run. I can't believe how well Matt did he will be a wonderful dad when it is our turn. We both had mixed feelings about it being over we definitely missed our "alone" time and totally understand why they say you need to continue to date once you have kids. But anyways here are some pics of our fun week.
