Rodeo Time

The rodeo was in Ogden over the 24th. Wadman is a major sponsor so we got free tickets now we know that is the only way to go. We got VIP parking, free catered dinner(best brisquet ever), and seats in the shade for the rodeo(invaluable). Not only was this Hallie's 1st rodeo but also her 1st time having ice cream she liked it but not loved it. We went with the Packard's,Tamara and Issac are Hallie and I's walking buddies and Matt and Jim are a lot alike. We have enjoyed spending quite a bit of time with them lately. They do a lot of fun things and Hallie and Issac love to play together. It was a late night but we enjoyed every minute.

Hiking

Now that summer is in full swing we have been getting out and enjoying the weather more. Last weekend we went hiking with some of our friends and although we didn't make it to our original destination due to a wrong turn but we did manage to have a great time. When we got to the top of the hill poor Hallie got motion sick(I would guess) and projectile vomited. Then we quickly hurried back down. We are hoping to go again real soon minus Hallie gtting sick.

Chips anyone?

Hallie has started wanting whatever we are eating. The other night we were eating chips and salsa and decided to let Hallie try. She loved it and thought she was pretty cool sitting next to dad eating them to.

Fireworks

Weber State does fireworks every year to celebrate the 24th but does it a week or two early for some reason. We decided not to take hallie over the 4th just because she was so tired but this time we got in an extra nap and she was good to go. When the fireworks started Hallie was mesmerized for about five minutes then she prefered to crawl around to socialize...at least she didn't cry.

What Do You Think Your Doing?

She thought she was pretty cool when I found her doing this until she shut her fingers in the drawers only five monutes later.

So Hallie has started crawling as of July 11 but only to get her to the objects that allow her to get into something or pull herself to standing. She is becoming more steady on her feet everyday and I'm sure before long she will be walking.

Oh What do you do in the Summertime?

Beginning

Middle

The End

Well now that summer is finally upon us we have been spending a lot of time outside in the sun & water. Summer also means awesome cool treats to keep away the heat of the sun. And Hallie...well she is no exception to wanting to share in these treats either. She has also perfected sucking out of a straw which makes Slurpees a lot more enjoyable.

What...where did my baby go?

So today I turned around to find my baby standing next to the laundry basket clapping for herself. I found myself torn between complete excitement and sadness my baby is getting big. I'm pretty sure crawling isn't in her idea of fun so maybe walking will be her thing. I'm excited to find out.

4th of July Weekend

The 4th is a holiday that I look forward to every year and it was extra awesome because this year most of our family was able to spend it together. Growing up I remember almost dying of heat but something happened to the weather and we almost froze at the breakfast, parade, & after party. But it was still a lot of fun to spend time with various family & friends.
Still attempting to master the crawling thing.
