Hallie laughing

Hallie has been laughing for sometime but I have yet to get her to do it long enough for me to get it on video. Lately when she gets excited she pants and squeals. A couple days ago I was getting ready and she started getting excited about something so I started to pant and squeal back and she really liked it. Dont pay any attention to the wierd noises I was making. What you do to make your kids laugh.

Friends

Matt and Corey have been friends for a long time and naturally when I became friends with Matt corey was part of the package deal and he got even better when he married his amazing wife, mindi. We truely worried about corey until he married her. Then they had Nathan and when we found out we were having a girl the planning started. Matt and Corey decided that Nathan and Hallie should have an arranged marriage. It appears that Corey has been training Nathan quite well because when we saw them last week all Nathan wanted to do was to hug Hallie but when we offered to let him hold her that was short lived and her wanted to give her back. Were so glad we have friends like Mindi and Corey and hopefully Hallie and Nathan will at least be friends in the future.

She has found her feet

Just within the last week or two Hallie has completely found her feet. She holds on to her two big toes and just jabbers and swings them around. She also has become quite into eating/sucking on her burp rag its so funny. I put it out in front of her she reaches and grabs it and shoves it in her face...funny child.

Three kids...not a crowd

Proof that we got all 3 kids and carseats in the car

Im pretty sure this is what overstimulated looks like

So over this weekend Nick and Brit were nice enough to let us keep their kids for a sleepover. I wondered what it would be like to go from one kid to three for a short time and it was great. This weekend in Ogden was Winter Fest so we took all three kids in snow clothes and headed out our friends Nate and Anne joined us with their little boy so we had four kids 4 and under and 4 adults. We watched the snow cat level snow across 25th street not something you see everyday and a sled parade followed we had a lot of fun but after the parade we headed to dinner to get warm. The waiter put us in our own room (I didn't think we appeared that unruly but I could have been wrong) We enjoyed pizza and breadsticks and even had time to play in the arcade after. The where's nemo ride was the favorite. Then we were headed home when Carson heard the crowd cheering and he suggested we better go see what everyone was doing. He say some of the funniest things. They were ski and snowboard jumping we watched for a short time because it was cold. When we got home we got ready for bed and watched the opening ceremonies(thank heaven for DVR) then headed for bed. The next morning we made sugar cookies, decorated them, and Matt and carson delivered them to some of the widows and friends in our ward. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again but I think we will wait a while to add more kids to our family because we may need a bigger car for carseats.

Birthday Dinner

Although Grandpa's party took most of the day we decided to head out to dinner to celebrate. Matt loves Chinese food as does the rest of the family. The owner at ABC Mandarin plays an instrument called the yunchin so he played Matt a birthday song as well as taking some pics and giving us ice cream. It was definitely a new and fun way to celebrate a birthday.Check out the video I don't know anyone else that knows how to play this unique instrument.

Birthday Cake

Matt had his birthday on saturday also. Matt has been talking about how he wanted an "Ace of Cakes" birthday cake this year so when he went to his church basketball game I did my best to take care of that wish. He came home just in time to help decorate it. I think we did a pretty good job and as always make an awesome team

Happy 90th B-day

The Fam

The Grandkids and Greatgrand Baby

Hallie & Great Grandpa

So my grandpa turned 90 on saturday and since 90 is a huge accomplishment we had a big family party with aunts, uncles, cousins, ect. We had a giant cake and ice cream and did a ton of visiting and taking pics.

Surprise!!!

So Matt turned 26 on Saturday but he shares the same birthday with my grandpa so we were busy with the whole family for the weekend so I decided to surprise Matt on Thursday and plan a date night that included an over the night stay at the Alaskian Inn. So this was a big deal for a couple of reasons: first: it is Matt's birthday and I kept the whole evening a surprise and second: I have never left hallie for more than a few hours so this was a huge step for me. When I finally told Matt what was going on he was very surprised and shocked that I hadn't even slipped, I am a talker so usually I let something out of the bag. We had a great time but I was ready to come home to my little girl I never would have imagined how hard it is to leave a child before I had one. But both of us survived and luckily our great friends Nate and Anne took very good care of her and to be honest I didn't worry about her at all I just missed her. It was very worth it and Matt even said you must love me really alot to leave Hallie all night. Yes honey I love you alot never forget that yeah for surprises!!

Winter time and walks

So this past week it has been a little bit warmer so Hallie and I have gotten out of the house and gone for a few walks. Hallie has always riden in her stroller via carseat but while in St. George we let her just ride in the stroller part and she just doesn't enjoy the car seat any more. She is so fun here is a pic of her all bundled before our walk.

Bountiful Baskets

So a couple of weeks ago a friend of our had told us about hese baskets I was a little skeptical until we tried it and I believe we will continue to do it. So what the deal is is that you pay 15 dollars for 50 pounds of food and it is good fresh fruits and veggies I would highly recommend it. The website is bountifulbaskets.org
