Big Girl Bed!!

Yesterday after talking to some coworkers I decided we should give a big girl bed a try so when Matt got home we got it all situated and talked about how cool it was to sleep in a big girl bed. Here is Hallie after we got the bed put together.

Shortly after was bed time I was worried that she would crawl out and play or worst fall out, shortly after putting her to bed she fell out and was not happy. We followed bedtime routine and didn't hear another peep from her for the rest of the night. Naptime has worked like a charm and just like Hallie does she has taken on another milestone and not even batted an eye. Really is she big enough to do this?

The Little Red Table

While in Tremonton my grandma gave us a table for Hallie. This isn't just any table though my mom used this table when she was Hallie's age my grandma has saved it and now its Hallie's. I don't know who was more excited me or her. She has used it for everything in the last couple of days.

She has also used it for coloring. I think she loves that they are just her size. Im sure this little red table will continue to be used for a long time.

Our Fun Weekends

I hate that my family lives so far away because we have so much fun when were together but it helps that we get together about once a month and make memories that will last forever. Dad, Mom, Nate, & Maddie got here Friday night just in time to say hello and goodnight we were all really tired. Saturday I had to work so the rest of the family went skiing with out me, I heard they had a lot of fun. We all got home about the same time Matt fixed us a wonderful dinner while I showered. The next morning we woke up to find 6 inches of new snow, you would have thought it was Christmas. Dad and Mom both took turns shoveling the driveway(they said they missed that..crazy huh) After some killer breakfast Matt and Nate finished the driveway but it was snowing so hard it didn't last to long to need shoveling again. They ended up cancelling church..which was awesome! So we headed to Tremonton to visit Grandpa N., Grandma R., and Grandma H. We had a great time! This is me, mom, and hallie, with my mom's grandma.

Hallie really liked Nate and his sunglasses, I don't know if he would admit it but he and Hallie are quite the buddies!

This was the scene on the way home in the car. It was a long day for everyone

But after a short nap everyone was ready for some fun in the snow. We buit a snowman but of coarse we had Nate and matt that didn't want it to be just a snowman so it became a snow ninja. I think having kids allows the parents to become kids again. It is awesome. This is Hallie's 1st snow figure.haha

The worst parts of visits is the see ya laters(my family stopped calling them good byes when my Grandma Norr died many years ago because good bye seems to sad and permanent so see ya laters are easier to deal with)Below are some priceless pics. Hallie walks around still looking for grandpa and saying his name. Its cute but she doesn't quite get that he is gone back to vegas. Good thing we will see them again in less than 2 weeks.

This pic was an awesome candid pic my mom was dancing with Hallie right before they left(I had to have a pic of that) by the time I got my camera out and on I snapped this shot just in time for a touching see ya later betwen grandma and her grand daughter. I don't know if it can be described better than that.

Come back soon we miss you already.

Matts birthday..way late

Matt had a wonderful birthday. Matt and Grandpa Norr share the same birthday so we usually end up doing something for both of them this year their birthday was shared with the super bowl. So on Saturday we headed to Tremonton to celebrate with grandpa and Matt's family.

We enjoyed visiting with grandpa(thats what he said he wanted for his b-day was just a visit) and later had dinner with Kerry, Joy, Brit, Nick, and the kids. Matt had a fun time guessing what his gift was from the kids.

On Sunday we watched the superbowl with our good friends Tiff & Ryan which was just what Matt wanted to do. Matt got very spoiled with several gifts: a raquetball raquet, new raquet balls, a new shirt, cologne, and a few snacks. Matt was so excited to show Hallie how to use the raquet but she was more interested in the balls.

We're back at least for a minute

I truely am having so much fun with Hallie and my craft projects that I rarely have taken the time to blog lately but my brain needs a rest and Hallie is sleeping so here it goes. Hallie grows up more everyday with new words and actions that even I can't keep up with. She has become great at folding her arms and saying amen, it has to be one of the cutest things ever! The other day we were folding clothes I asked if she wanted to help and she immediately dropped the clothes and folded her arms talk about confusing. She has started wanting/asking to sit on the potty. I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. She never really goes, but I figure if I keep sitting her on there one day she might get it. She is one of the most polite little people I have ever met always saying please and thank you and I usually don't have to remind her anymore. She is a great helper like most oldest children wanting to sweep and mop so needless to say our floors are always clean. I have a swiffer that I can adjust to a perfect size for her to use. This picture surely isn't the best but she is always in motion so its the best I get sometimes.
After cleaning out the oven drawer the other day it is now one of her favorite places to climb and sit sometimes even to read a story. I tell ya the best toys aren't toys at all.

Hallie is an amazing sleeper and for the most part always has been, we Norr girls need our sleep also knock on wood that doesn't change any day soon. The other morning I peeked in at her to find her sound asleep on her tummy(its her favorite) I had to take a picture because I remember the first time we put her into her crib how tiny she was makes me cherish everyday. So anyways she goes to bed about 7:30 or 8 and sleeps til about 8:30 or 9 which gives me time in the morning to get up and do my own thing it is so nice Im not going to lie I really like to sleep in to.

Another one of Hallie more favorite things is to climb up into the recliner and look at picture books with her blanket and puppy. It entertainer her quite well and I am impressed with how gentle she is with the books she loves to look through and point out the people she knows its fun to listen to her try to say all their name although she is getting better all the time.

On a happy note Hallie now has enough hair to do some fun things with.

On a not so bright note Hallie has reached her first ackward stage now when we ask her to smile it isn't the cutest thing I have ever seen but we still love her and think its pretty funny. These below are prime examples of what happens when you ask her to smile these days.

Where we have been

So a few people have asked if we got lost or just forgot to update them on our usually boring life my answer to that is no I have become a craft blog stalker and have a list of projects that take up my free time during nap time. I am close to finishing the project at the top of my list which is Hallie's quiet book. I have been wanting to get one for Hallie for quite sometime but couldn't find what I wanted so I decided to try it myself and it became a much bigger project than I thought. I am still in the process of completing the cover, another zipper ark page, a clock, and the button flowers so there is more to come but I feel so behind already. Hope you enjoy it.
