Our Weekend

Well the weather ruined most of our plans but we found so great things to do. Now that we are finalizing our house plans we have really gotten into planning so we went to a home show out at the fair ground and talked to multiple companies in many different divisions of home building it was fun and Hallie loved having so much space to wander in. And second and probably my favorite part of the weekend. Matt got a couple tickets to sit in the presidents suite at the Weber State football game so we didn't even notice the weather. Let me tell you this is the way to go if your going to a bad weather football game. They had a buffet they served through the 1st quarter then had dessert and popcorn at half time and all the pop and treats you could eat we felt like we were living the high life. They handed out candy, stuffed animals, and hand clappers to the kids throughout the game to keep them occupied. It was so much fun I could really get used to going to games like that. Its so fun to go and do things like this with our little family and make new friends!

A new facination...the fridge

I found Hallie in the fridge the other day she doesn't really disturb anything at this point just like to look around she is very curious. It is so cute to watch her get on her toes to see the top shelf. Notice in the second pic that she is standing on the shelf in the fridge.

A fun fall day

So today held many different fun fall activities. The colors of fall never cease to amaze me at how brilliant and beautiful they are. Last year at this time we put our tiny peanut into a pumpkin well she has gotten a little bigger so the pumkin thing was out so we tried our hand at taking so pics with Hallie in a wheelbarrow my grandpa made. Priceless all the same I don't know that I will ever get over how fast time flies with little ones! Of coarse we had to have some of this! How can you have fall without picking pumpkin. This year was even better because we grew them and picked them out of our own garden! Hallie was so funny she kept hugging the big one who knows why?!? And of coarse raking leaves...or at least playing in them.

Dancing

So I'm a little unsure as to where Hallie gets her rythm but I would dare to say she doesn't get it from me..haha. We listen to music quite frequently and hallie loves it. She has started doing the head bob when she is in her high chair or car seat i truely can't get enough. Being a parent is seriously the best entertainment ever.

Nikki!!

My sister Nic came to visit last weekend and it was a blast. Mostly Hallie and I's days are pretty what most would call boring doing house work, laundry, reading, making dinner, ect. And although I love being home almost every minute that I am we love having company. We went to get Nic on Friday morning and on the way home we stopped and ran some fun errons. There was a darling ginger bread house that Hallie was perfect size for so of coarse we had to take a picture.

Hallie loves to read or be read to depending on how talkative she is on that particular day. She always loves when new people are a round and will take them multiple books and put her arms up to be held. Nic was happy to do it.

We of coarse did some baking and make a big dinner. Mostly just hung out and caught up on life. I only wish we had more time to get together. Come back soon Nic we already miss you!
A couple of our creations!

Walking!!!

So yes I am behind in blogging the only bad thing about that is I forget all the details someday I hope to remember but I will do my best. So yup you heard it right our little one is practically running. On the 10th of October shortly after my parents left she figured crawling was to slow and hasn't stopped since. She thinks she is so cool and grown up. As she walks around she claps and laughs, I don't know if life gets much better!

Horseback riding

Our little family
After the wedding we have some friends in Deweyville that invited us to come over and go horseback riding. When I was Hallie's age my parents had horses and we rode frequently until I was a teenager, I really miss it. Hallie loves animals so we thought it was an awesome chance for us to do something new with her. They had horses, cows, dogs, and chickens. Hallie was so excited she didn't know what to be excited about first. She rode with Maddi first, Maddi did a great job, but Hallie was a little unsure after a few minutes.

Later on Hallie rode with our friend Keith and liked it alot more she even laughed and clapped it was so fun to watch.

We all took our turn and had a great time. Matt and I are now thinking we should do that again very soon. Sometimes grandpa doesn't come to visit because he is busy with work and church. We were lucky enough to have him come this time. Hallie has become quite fond of him and for good reason. I have been very blessed with wonderful men in my life and now in Hallie's. My dad has taught me alot over the years and continues to teach me things quite often. Thanks for your example dad!

A great fall weekend

(Nate was in charge of Hallie while Matt & I helped with the wedding. He hooked this balloon to her so she was easier to locate for both him and the other guests that may have stepped on her. ha ha Nate you are irreplaceable thanks for being an awesome uncle)
Saturday my cousin married his best friend and we were lucky enough to be a part. The weather ended up being just about right with a jacket. It was a beautiful day. Congrats Jayson and Brandi! I'm always happy to have an excuse to get together with family both immediate and extended. When I was younger we got together quite frequently and now as everyone has gotten older the times have become more spaced but when we get together it is always a good time. Plus it gave my parents an excuse to come and stay which I'm not sure who enjoys it more. Thanks for coming to visit, come back soon!

Conference Weekend

(The common scene at our house conf. weekend. Hallie watching Little Einsteins with blanket, towel, and binki.)
This past conference weekend was different than any other we have ever had at our house. Hallie got her flu shot on Monday at her 1 yr appt. Which ended up being a big costly mistake. Wed morning I woke up because hallie was screaming I found her covered in throw up..poor girl. She had no idea what was going on. So I got her up just in time for her to throw up again over my shoulder. Matt got up to help me and together we got the house and Hallie cleaned up. I immediately went into nurse mode and got us set up before Matt left for work. The throwing up continued for 2 days and then the diarrhea started. Well Thurs night Matt got sick and I followed Fri. By sunday we were for the most part on the mend. I lysoled the entire house and did 8 loads of laundry(thats a lot for us! Hallie is such a good little sick person she would play until she started to not feel well then she wanted to be held until she threw up then back to playing. We were definitely a hot mess. But one plus was we laid on the couch and watch all four sessions of conference! Although I would never wish that on anyone or for it to happen again it was so refreshing to really listen to the messages that were shared at conference. I think the general feeling I took from conference was how blessed Matt and I really are. I'm sure there are times in all of our lives that we feel extremely picked on and like god has surely forgotten us but that is never the case. I am extremely blessed with so many things I don't even know where to start. But one that I could ever mistake is for Matt he is an amazing person that truely is the only perfect match out there for me. He is so driven and at the same time patient and loving. He does an awesome job supporting us and I am so blessed that I get to stay home with Hallie. Love you babes! Eternity will never be long enough!
