Happy 1st Brithday!

Nathan did a great job getting Hallie to smile.

Just a taste

Singing went much better this time she even smiled and clapped. Matt and I sang to her all morning in hopes she wouldn't cry again..it worked!

Happy birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday dear Hallie happy birthday to you. So this is how it went. Hallie actually seemed to enjoy getting sung to this time. We had a little party with family and friends. Matt cooked us some great dutch oven food and we had a variety of cupcakes with ice cream. I think its safe to say no one left hungry. Hallie picked at her cake mostly the strawberries but she enjoyed some frosting in the process. The sandbox was a kid favorite which allowed the adults time to visit and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Thanks everyone for joining us to celebrate this special time. We had a great time and can't wait for the adventures this next year will bring.

Where does the time go? I remember being pregnant and wanting time to pass quickly and the day Hallie was born praying that time would slow down so we could enjoy every moment of this new little angel in our lives. Matt and I have enjoyed every moment of this last year we have been blessed with our little Hallie. She is the light that brightens any day. She has never been anything but a joy in ours and the people around us lives. We have been very blessed and are excited as time continues to learn and grow along side of our sweetheart! Love you Hallie thanks for making the last year amazing!

Thanks Brit for helping us to capture the beauty of our little one

A day at the Zoo

Our Little Family of Five for the Day

I can't remember a time we got together with Mindi and Corey and didn't have an awesome time..plus Nathan and Hallie love each other!

Hallie has grown very fond of animals mostly dogs but just animals in general she will start to breath as if she is hyperventilating and pointing at whatever she is excited about. So we decided what better to do than go to the zoo. The weather was a little warm but with the help of some friends had a lot of fun. We had 3 kids for the day and although it was fun I think we will wait a while to do that again. We will stick to adding them one at a time. The bird show was awesome and we can't wait to go again soon! Thanks for joining us friends

Football Time!!

During the game Hallie became very interested in Nic's water bottle she was even smart enough to figure out how to drink out of it.

So last year Hallie was to small to enjoy football other than sleeping on your chest while watching it but his year she is set. We started by going to the WSU game Saturday night and were joined but Nate and Anne as weel as Nic & Ky. We BBQ before which the weather or the company couldn't have been any better. The game was a little longer than we had anticipated when it went into quadruple over time and delays that included the stadium going dark with weber on the goal line. Weber finally won when the opposing team missed a field goal. Hallie was very good and seemed to enjoy herself we are hoping to do it again very soon.

Our little family

Peaches

So also while in St.George the church orchard opened for picking and with a little pursuading Kim got us to go and we found more peaches than we ended up knowing what to do with. Hallie even helped by taking the peaches out of the basket or poking her finger into them to make sure they were ripe...what a big helper.

Dad and I with a load of peaches he really isn't into picking peaches just hanging out with his girls!

Labor Day Weekend

So as with most holidays we head to have some fun in the sun with the family. This weekend was no different..so friday afternoon we headed for sunny central. Friday night we went to see Tarzan which was really good but Nic was nice enough to watch Hallie and the camera was in the diaper bag so alas no pics. I would recommend going to see the show if you get a chance although not as good as Lion King. We also did some much needed retail therapy while Matt stayed home to study and put Hallie down for a nap. Hallie has also learned to say mama and uses it like she completely knows what it means for about a week now which I love but a break and 2 free hands to shop is always nice!
Shades for the bright sun

This weekend we also celebrated Hallies upcoming birthday since my family lives so far away we decided to have a party this weekend. Nic & Ky even surprised us and were able to come. Hallie was unsure what to do with her presents but she liked climbing in the gift bag. She got spoiled(no surprise)with many awesome and thoughtful gifts. I can't believe that our little girl is approaching a year but what a growing year it has been for all of us. One we will cherish the rest of our lives.

When we sang you would have thought you put Hallie in front of a firing squad she looked scared for her life. But here is the video decide for yourself

Blowing out the candle

This is what the cupcakes looked like before we ate them

The cupcakes in the cones were a brilliant idea she loved it

Waving goodbye to our guests

Poor Sofie all she was trying to do is hide I think Hallie wore her out!
