Family Pics Dec 10

Every year either over Thanksgiving or Christmas we always take family pics. Although they are a lot of work to put together and get everyone ready the results are always worth the time, this year was no exception. The family pictures over the years have become priceless to me. Thanks Mom for always making sure we do these!

We had a great time this morning at the museum with Anne and Josh. Hopefully we can go back very soon so many toys just not enough time to play with all of them!

Beat Box Rocker

Matt has sang this catchy song to hallie since she was born and as she has grown her dancing has evolved into some of the best entertainment money can buy. Ready to dance.

Birthday Weekend Part 2

Matt put together a get together with some of our good friends we enjoyed great food and company. The kids all played well together and gave all of the adults to good visiting time.

Birthday Weekend Part 1

Well I will just start by saying that I always feel very blessed but I think heavenly father give us birthdays to help us remember how loved we are. This birthday has been no exception. Friday night we headed to Tremonton to help Mindi and Corey to finish their basement for the weekend. Hallie and I visited grandpa and spent a lot of time visiting with Mindi and Nathan. I think Hallie really enjoyed having a friend, Nathan was so good with her, it was cute. I think they will be friends for a very long time.

Hallie even got in some playing with grandma after her bath

After all the boys hard work we had some great food and celebrated my birthday which cool enough corey and mindi's birthdays are both in January to so we celebrated everyones birthdays.

Where to begin?

I sometimes feel like I don't have anything new to post because our lives are pretty boring(or so I would think others would think) we are on a great schedule so most days are all the same. I love being a mom and all of the joy that comes with it. Hallie is growing and changing so quickly but not in a big way just in small ways that everyday she shows me she is becoming more of a little adult and not a baby any more. She says new words everyday and I swear I always turn around to make sure it was my child that said it and then I ask her to repeat it just to be sure. But anyways here are a few things we have been doing lately. I have been cooking/baking alot trying to incorporate new and healthy recipes into our favorites along the way I have found several new things that hallie likes one of them being muffins, mostly bran, blueberry, and banana. On this particular day I don't think Hallie went more than 30 minutes without a muffin in hand.

15 Months!

Hallie is at such a fun age and is getting so independent. She is so smart..maybe sometimes to much so. We are loving this stage. Just today at her 15 month check up she weighed 18 lbs 9 oz(2nd) and was 31 inches (66th) tall. She is down to a bottle only at bedtime but we are continuing to add carnation breakfast to it to help her gain so weight. She is a very good eater and usually will eat pretty much anything you give her. She usually only has a Binky at nap time, bedtime, and in the car. She now sleeps between 12-14 hours a night and has gone to 1 nap on most days. She loves bath time and now splashing is a common occurrence. I don't know if I can emphasize enough how much she loves reading and books. She loves to be read to and also to read books to us or herself. She loves to throw and kick balls. Wants to be involved in whatever is going on. Blows her knows almost to well..we confuse her now when we tell her to blow kisses. She will put her hand to her mouth blow air out her nose and her put her hand out like she is blowing kisses. Within the last couple of weeks has gotten in 2 teeth and there are 2 more molars coming(she has been kinda sad) She has a whole vocabulary of words she can say now and she understands pretty much everything you say. Usually mom, dad, and those around her often can understand what she is saying on a few of the words. She is now to the point that she doesn't have to be prompted to say thank you it is very cute. She also says: please, thanks, jacket, sleep, shoe, sock, yes, uh, oh, binky, blanket, bottle, all done, orange, apple, baby, help, eye, ear, nose, mouth, Josh, Rosten, and Issac. It expands everyday so I'm sure I forgot something. The one word that I am very surprised she doesn't say is NO. I try really hard to use other words than no when she is doing something she shouldn't be then explain why she isn't supposed to be doing that. Now when she begins to do something she knows she shouldn't she shakes her head no looks around for who is watching then turns her attention to something else..like I said to smart for her own good. She can retrieve quite a few things and has now expanded her faces she does. On a not so bright note she has also started throwing fits sometimes when she doesn't get her way, luckily they are manageable and easy corrected. I just tell myself she is exerting her independence which is great for her, part of growing up! She has a little OCD, I don't know where she gets that. She takes wet wipes and wipes down just about everything. She also loves to color, we bought some crayons and color books for Christmas it keeps her entertained quite well. I don't know if there has been many times that she has been anything but a joy in our lives. She is growing up way to fast I still don't know where the time goes but we are trying to enjoy every moment. We are so grateful god sent her to be with our family.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was just as fun we got up about seven and opened presents. We all were extremely spoiled ranging from clothes, shoes, tools, and toys. I was extremely spoiled during most of Matt and I's marriage I have known pretty much everything I was getting..mostly because I had picked it out. Matt surprised me with gift certificates for a pedicure and full body message as well as so mommy machine gift certificates I can cash in with him. I love that kind of stuff because I would never use our monthly allowance to pamper myself. Awesome gifts! We decided rather than getting Hallie toys we would get her things she needed..smart move. This kid loves books and Christmas had plenty of those for her as well as some clothes, shoes, a camp chair, building blocks, and a few treats. We should have bought her a shoes box with holes and some dry erase markers, that seemed to be the thing she played with the most.Once she finished she had to have a snack while the rest of us finished opening our gifts. Matt got a fire/waterproof safe, yeah! Then we had our traditional egg casserole breakfast.
It is so fun to have Hallie and Maddi close in age they were inseparable most of the trip.

Breakfast with Grandpa..I love this picture

Many babysitters equals more cuddle time

We hung out most of the day playing games and visiting. That night my parents had arranged for us to attend the Rick Thomas tiger and illusion show. While we waited we walked around to some of the other shops. Hallie liked the race cars.
Waiting for the tiger show to start

Hallie and her daddy

It was really good I was a little concerned because it was late for Hallie but she was so entertained she didn't cry once. We had a great time its fun to get out and see the positive and entertaining side of Las Vegas.
