Our "New" Car
Wednesday we got a call and someone wanted to test drive the Yukon but what we weren't prepared for was for them to make a full price offer and want to come get it the next day. It took Matt and I a few hours to let it sink in then the panic started...we had to find a car. We loaded up the kids and went to look and after we put the kids to bed we searched the internet. It took us a few days and really messed up our plans for Labor Day. For Labor Day we were supposed to go to Lava Hot Springs with some friends but between not being sure if we were going to have a car, a death in our friends family, our friends lost job, and the bad weather we decided to bag it and stay home. Friday night we were awakened by thunder and lightening that lit the sky and shook the house. I don't ever remember thunder and lightening that bad. So we spent every spare moment looking for a car and then we stumbled upon a 2007 Chevy Suburban with only 47,000 miles and we knew we had to have it. So after more than 15 hours at the dealership Matt negotiated and finalized a price and paperwork(oh I hate car salesmen). I just drove down to sign the papers. I am loving my "new" mommy mobile and what makes it even better is that we are now one step closer to buying a boat:)

Mommy mobile it is! Great color. So elegant! Hope you had a great bargain on the dealership. One good tip on buying a car is also estimating how much the maintenance for the vehicle is, since maintaining the vehicle is the next step after actually purchasing one. By doing this, you get your bases covered. :D

One advice I can give, which amazed me at first to know because it seemed like an insignificant detail, is to lighten up your car-key’s keychain. The weight, combined with the key’s bouncing while the car is in motion, will wear out the tumblers inside the ignition. This may eventually cause ignition switch failure. So let’s try not to burden the weight of the car keychain. It would be good to keep a separate keychain for other keys apart from the car-keys. :D

I agree with Kerstin. :D Your car has a great color. By the way, be sure to change oil every 5,000 miles, and remember to change the oil filters too. Since some debris stick to the oil filters, the debris would later contaminate the new oil that will replace the old oil. Hence, it would be good to change the filters when having engine oil change.

Wow! A Chevy! Great car! I agree with Kerstin. Never missing your routine car maintenance will help keep your car in its good working condition. This may also add years to the vehicle’s service life.
